WTA legend and former coach of Serena Williams, Rennae Stubbs, denied the speculations about her being the next coach for Holger Rune. 

After the Australian Open, Holger Rune parted ways with Severin Luthi, the former coach of Roger Federer, before saying goodbye to the iconic Boris Becker. In under a month, two of his coaches left the camp, and to this end, Stubbs jokingly tweeted that she was available, hinting at the possibility of being Rune’s coach. 

The separations were huge in the tennis world, but one tweet from Stubbs got her attention online, as the speculations revolved around her. 

To this, there were so many negative comments for the Australian coach, as the fans did not like the match-up one bit. 

I have been sent this by MANY people asking “Is this true?” No, it’s not! I don’t know who put this out but you’re a bunch of clowns to do so with zero proof. My god!.

With this message, Rune’s fans breathed relief as the speculations were false, and no new coach had been decided for Rune.

Recently, he even revealed to has parted ways with the German legend Boris Becker and has still not revealed any news regarding his new coach. However, he did drop a tweet under Rennae Stubbs’ post, denying all the speculations. 

Yes, many confronted me too about this. Let them talk. Much too few female coaches on tour though.

With his mother and a few other coaches remaining in his box, the Danish youngster went to the semi-finals of the Open Sud de France and won a match at Rotterdam. He recently beat Roman Safiullin in a to-and-fro battle.

It was Rune who emerged victorious in a tough battle where his opponent had come back from a setdown. With a lot more to do, Rune is sure to have the spotlight on him for a while.
