Danish tennis ace Holger Rune had a forgettable outing against Casper Ruud in the Mexican Open semifinals. The 20-year-old lost his sixth match against the Norwegian and with this defeat, Rune’s chance to lift a tour-level title (higher than ATP 250) after the Paris Masters win in 2022 was spoiled.

This loss against Ruud drew a lot of criticism for Rune. While most of the tennis fans criticized the Dane for his underperformance and inconsistency, one fan took the criticism to a whole different level. This fan wrote an email to the 20-year-old, threatening to cut his head off.

As per a picture shared by Rune’s mother, Aneke Rune, the fan not only used abusive words for the young tennis player but threatened to kill him. This lunatic declared that they would hunt down Rune and “stick a knife” in the player’s neck.
