The final Grand Slam event of 2023 reached its tail end as we near the showdown event in the US Open. The women’s final will feature the newly crowned world no.1 Aryna Sabalenka, who will face the home crowd favorite and the 6th seed Coco Gauff in the final of US Open 2023. Meanwhile, on the men’s side, the top 2 pairing of Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will look forward to booking their spots in the final.
The men’s semi-final is scheduled for Friday at the Arthur Ashe stadium. 2nd seed Djokovic will face the 20-year-old American Ben Shelton in the first semi-final match scheduled on Friday. The match is expected to begin after 3:00 PM local time. The world no.1 and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will kick off the night session as he faces the 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev in the second semi-final match scheduled for the day. The match starts at 7:00 PM local time.
The women’s final will occur on Saturday at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The tickets for the matches are now available on the US Open website. The tickets range from single-session general access tickets to varied hospitality options.
The ticket prices for the women’s finals start from $350. The most expensive tickets for courtside seating reach $12,000. Most of the tickets remain sold, but the buyers still stand a chance to buy the ‘verified resale’ tickets. The tickets for the men’s semi-finals range from 360$ to 21,000$. Tickets for the men’s finals remain sold, but some remain available for resale. The price ranges from 900$ to 17,500$.

Aryna Sabalenka defeats Madison Keys to reach the US Open final
Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka got the better of the 2017 US Open finalist Madison Keys to reach her first US Open final. The 2nd seed defeated the 17th seeded American 0-6,7-6(1),7-6(5) to reach her second Grand Slam final this year.
Talking about her opponent in the on-court interview, Sabalenka said, “She played incredible tennis. It was another level. I don’t know how I turned it around.. I know you guys want her to win. That’s normal.. but thanks for staying that late. Thank you for those who supported me. I love you guys.” The 25-year-old Belarusian came back from being 0-6, 3-5 down to avoid her 3rd successive semi-final defeat in Grand Slams.
With the win, Sabalenka has improved her year Grand Slam record to 23-2. She will become the world no.1 for the first time after the end of the US Open. The 2nd seed hopes she can win the final on Saturday to put the icing on the cake for the no.1 title celebrations.
