Owing to Alexander Zverev‘s superb performances first in the Singles match and then in the mixed doubles clinched the match for the Germans.

If you have kids, if you love tennis, you owe it to yourself to go buy a ticket, get the best seat in the house, right by court level, pay the money and watch Iga play. It was eye-opening for me.Boynton said via ATP
The World No.1 defeated Angelique Kerber in the first round of the tournament. It earned her team the advantage over Germany. However, Zverev and Laura Seiegemund paired up to defeat the pair of Hurkacz and Swiatek in the decisive mixed doubles. Iga Swiatek would have her eyes on the big prize in the Melbourne Park
The United Cup must have provided a superb training ground for the Australian Open starting from 14th January for the World No. 1. After a fabulous last season, Swiatek would like to start the year with a smashing performance in the Australian Open. She didn’t have a very good time during her last time in Melbourne Park, as she was eliminated in the fourth round by eventual finalist Elena Rybakina.
However, she would like to rectify her performance this time around. She would have various other hurdles to pass, especially the defending champion Aryna Sabalenka. With the tournament starting to commence in a week, she would have a lot of hopes upon her.
