Iga Swiatek talks about the US Open balls once again
Recently after playing at the Cincinnati Open, Iga Swiatek complained about the USTA using different tennis balls in the women’s game than in the men’s game. After beating Sloane Stephens in the round of 32 in Cincinnati, Swiatek was eliminated by Madison keys in the round of 16 of the tournament.
Swiatek once again talked about the balls of the US Open being different than the men’s game, she said, “I don’t what are the plans for future years, but for sure me and Paula, we are going to be sticking to what we said, For sure I don’t like the balls. But on the other hand, I am here to compete and to play my best tennis.“
“I am also at the same time, trying to adjust and learn how to play with these kinds of balls, for sure it is different for every player because it is just kind of our game style, with our grip, that gives us more challenging time here. Yeah, overall I said what I wanted to say. The balls get more and more light and lose their fluffiness as the game goes on,” Swiatek added further.
In the first round of the upcoming US Open, Iga Swiatek will be going up against Italian professional Jasmine Paolini, she will be looking to go in the game confident and finally go on to win the title.
