“I could advise him to take his bag and go to Mexico to cross the border!” Clay Travis advises Novak Djokovic to illegally enter the USA amidst change in CDC rules

Clay Travis and Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic, the 35-year-old Serbian is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, with 21 Grand Slam titles to his name, the Serb continues to win titles wherever he plays. His most recent victory came at the 2022 Wimbledon as he beat Nick Kyrgios in the finals of the tournament.
Djokovic has been surrounded by many controversies over the past few months, mostly regarding his status concerning the Covid-19 vaccine. The Serb continuously makes it clear that he is against getting vaccinated for Covid-19, due to his stance, Djokovic has missed out on many tournaments.
Clay Travis questions the US Open and Novak Djokovic’s participation amidst rule changes

Due to not getting vaccinated for Covid-19, Novak Djokovic hasn’t been allowed to participate in US Open and that continues to be the case as there has been no new information from the organizers of the tournament. It has been made clear that unless Djokovic decides to get vaccinated, he will not be able to play at the US Open.
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recently made a change in their guidelines which stated that foreign nationals do not need to show a negative Covid-19 test or documentation of recovery before boarding flights to the US. The rules should clear Novak Djokovic to play in the US Open but there have been no developments about this.
Addressing this issue, Outkick founder, Clay Travis shared his opinions, he said, “From the moment the CDC explains that a vaccinated must be treated like an unvaccinated and that there are no differences, I do not see why and how Novak Djokovic could not come and play for the US Open. If I even want to argue, I could advise him to take his bag and his snowshoes and go to Mexico to cross the border. Frankly, when we talk about returning to a normal life, it would be a beautiful symbol of unity to see the Serb defend his chances in New York.“
With the tournament right around the corner, it seems unlikely that Novak Djokovic will get an entry in the event but only time will tell that the situation could change in the future.
