The Wimbledon semi-finalist has been enjoying some fame after his heroics at the tournament, Norrie recently joked about the perks he gets after he made his country proud after making the last four at the event. In preparation for the US Open, Norrie has been training with world number 1 Daniil Medvedev.

After the ban on Russian and Belarusian players from Wimbledon, Medvedev was unable to participate and Norrie admits that he has had a minimal conversation with the Russian about the topic, he said, “He didn’t ask about Wimbledon and I didn’t ask him anything about that. I didn’t want to bring it up. He said he watched my match with Djokovic, that’s all. He is a great practice partner and a great guy as well. He is my favorite player to watch. My coach is always trying to message the best players in the world to practice with, so hopefully, we can get a little bit more leeway with the top guys now.”

As quoted by Tennis365, Norrie also talked about how he has been getting free coffee across the UK and gets recognized a lot more after reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon, his progress in the tournament also gave him more confidence in competing against the big timers.
