Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old Australian professional is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the world currently, ranked at world number 25, Kyrgios is more popular for his antics on and off the court than his playing ability. Nevertheless, the Australian has enjoyed a successful season this time around as he managed to reach the Wimbledon final where he lost to Novak Djokovic a few weeks ago.

Nick Kyrgios has always been surrounded by controversies for most of his career, mostly due to the antics he pulls on the court, almost always getting into fights with the umpires and dealing with hecklers in the crowd, Nick Kyrgios never fails to entertain and surprise the tennis world everytime he is on the court.

Currently competing at the ongoing US Open, Nick Kyrgios has made it into the third round of the tournament at the Flushing Meadows, Kyrgios defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round and Benjamin Bonzi in the second round to make his way into the third. After the match, in his press conference, Nick Kyrgios talked about improvements on his game and how he thinks he has changed for the better.

Kyrgios said, “I almost don’t know who I am anymore, to be honest, This year has been amazing in so many different ways. For my tennis, I wanted to almost reinvent myself and get back to the top of the game where I know I belong. The Wimbledon final was a turning point, I think, mentally for me. If I won that match I don’t know where my motivation would have been.” 

The interview received a lot of heat on social media as Nick Kyrgios was involved in a disgraceful spitting incident in the second round of the US Open against Benjamin Bonzi, Nick Kyrgios was caught on cameras spitting towards his player box and now the Australian is talking about being better right after his antics in the court.
