Iga Swiatek is too shy to meet Serena Williams
World number 1, Iga Swiatek is a big-time Serena Williams fan, in an interview, Swiatek revealed that she wanted to meet and greet the legendary Serena Williams but the Polish international insists that she is too shy to do so. The world number revealed that she has been unable to work up the courage to talk to Serena Williams.
Iga Swiatek said, “I have a hard time catching eye contact with Serena, And I just wanted to say ‘Hi’ a few times. But it’s tough because she always has so many people around her and I’m pretty shy, When I look at her, I suddenly kind of forget that I’m here as the World No. 1. I see Serena and it’s, ‘Wow, Serena!’ you know? And I feel like I’m a kid from kindergarten just looking at her. So it’s tough. I haven’t talked to her, but I’m just trying to say hi.”
Serena Williams has fans all over the world and the fans aren’t just limited to the public, fellow stars like Rafael Nadal, and world number 1 Iga Swiatek are one of them as the American Icon had the world on her feet throughout her glamourous career filled with titles.
