“I hope he’ll be back as soon as possible,” Stan Wawrinka gives an important update about Roger Federer’s much-anticipated comeback

Roger Federer, the 41-year-old Swiss tennis professional, is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. With 20 Grand Slam titles to his name, Federer has etched his name among the all-time greats of the sport. The Swiss icon has been recently suffering from injuries and fans cannot wait for his return to the court.
Federer hasn’t been able to compete in any tournament this year due to a knee surgery he had last year. The Swiss Master last played at 2021 Wimbledon where he was eliminated by Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals. That was the last tournament Federer played.

Stan Wawrinka hopes to see Roger Federer in action again

Millions of fans are eagerly waiting for Roger Federer’s return to the tennis court. The Laver Cup which commences on September 23rd, is Federer’s possible comeback tournament. His compatriot Stan Wawrinka is hoping Federer can make a comeback soon.
Talking about Federer’s return, Wawrinka said, “It’s been too long since Roger Federer’s last appearance on the pitch, so I hope he’ll be back as soon as possible. Fans, tournaments and other players want to see him in action again. Any tennis fan misses him.“
Federer played just 13 matches in the 2021 season. His win-loss record was 9-4. The upcoming Laver Cup has raised hopes for millions of fans across the globe as they gear up to see the possible return of Roger Federer. Former American tennis legend, John McEnroe also made some comments regarding Federer’s return.
Mac said, “He has earned the right to do whatever he wants. Even though he’s 41 and hasn’t played in a lifetime, the pressure on his shoulders will still be enormous.“
Apart from the Laver Cup, Roger Federer is also expected to participate in the Swiss Indoors tournament, scheduled to start on October 24.
