“I literally grew up on these courts” Bianca Andreescu excited for returning to action in Canada

Bianca Andreescu, the 22-year-old Canadian is set for a return to the National Bank Open in Toronto mentioning her excitement about he comeback at her home soil, Andreescu took a mental break from the sport after having an year filled with injuries but she is all set to return to the National bank Open which she won in 2019.
The Canadian is already having a good comeback year so far and she aims to make it better in Toronto when the tournament starts from August 5th, also having won the US Open, Andreescu has climbed as high as world number 4 rank by the WTA. Having to take a break for 15 months after a left knee injury and getting Covid-19 last year, she feels at the peak of her health now and was unable to hide her excitement about the comeback.

“I definitely feel more confident,” Bianca Andreescu talks about her comeback in Toronto
Andreescu is sure to get a huge reception as she returns to her home soil in Toronto, Canada. Admitting to feeling confident, she believes that she can return back to being one of best players in the women’s circuit. Currently ranked number 51 in the world, the Canadian will be looking to quickly rise up to where she belongs and being able to compete in front of her family will be an added bonus for her at the National bank Open.
Talking about her comeback, Andreescu said, “I definitely feel more confident, than for instance, if I came back last year, in Toronto especially. Because it is different playing in Montreal and Toronto. Toronto, I feel like, it’s just the memories that I have here. I literally grew up on these courts so maybe I put more pressure on myself because I really want to do well here in Toronto. But I do feel good physically, and mentally, and my whole approach to everything is just better. I do feel like I can do really well in this tournament.“
