World No. 1 Iga Swiatek continues to dominate the WTA Tour as she enters the semi-finals at the 2022 WTA Finals. Swiatek defeated Caroline Garcia 6-3, 6-2 to become the first player to make it to the last 4 at the year-end championships as she is eyeing to bag her maiden title at the event.
Swiatek defeated Daria Kasatkina 6-2, 6-3 to kickstart her campaign in Fort Worth and followed it with a similar victory against Garcia. The Pole is the odds favorite for the title this year having lost only 8 matches from the 72 she has played this year. In the draw this year, only Garcia has defeated Swiatek this year and the Pole has already avenged her loss.
