“I haven’t been doing well lately,” Naomi Osaka mirrors on her mental health ahead of US Open 2022

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Naomi Osaka will be left behind the curtains from making headlines in the upcoming US Open as most recently the Japanese mirrored her practice session at the courts of New York and expressed what she felt whilst doing the same.
While carrying on with her preparation, she explicitly described her feelings in place quoting “I feel like I would have lied, like, a day ago or so and said that I was really relaxed,” verbally helping the global tennis community and fans grasp her state of mind presently.

“I felt very anxious,” Naomi Osaka on feeling strung out ahead of the US Open

Naomi Osaka while contemplating her on-court emotions while practicing, went ahead to admit that “actually, like, when I practiced today I felt very anxious. I think it’s because I really want to do well because I feel I haven’t been doing well lately,” confirming that the Japanese champion is ready to admit her shortcomings and that she has been struggling which requires going over a fine tooth comb to overcome such issues if she wants to get out of her ‘downfall.’
Media and fans have been circling Osaka’s apparent nemesis which has proved to be true as lately the 4 time Grand Slam champion has failed to portray anything significant tying praise to her career. She was brutally ousted in the recent Cincinnati Masters by Zhang Shuai with a disrespectful score of 6-4, 7-5, and earlier in the Canadian Open conceded to Kaia Kanepi, concluding with a final score of 7-6(4), 3-0.
The young champion from Japan earlier made the headlines when she opened up about her past relationship with the late NBA star Kobe Bryant and discussed how everything that went down caused a significant impact on her mental health.
Although there is very little hope for Naomi to shine again at the upcoming US Open considering rival WTA players namely Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek will be joining the Flushing Meadows promising terrific performances, narrowing chances for the Japanese champ to jump ahead in the advancing rounds.
