Venus Williams recently called out the Netflix Documentary ‘Break Point’ for a lack of spicy moments. Speaking on her youtube channel, Williams said that she expected a bit more controversial stuff from the documentary. The world number one Iga Swiatek might disagree with the tennis legend as she talked about the abuse she and her team faced for their appearance in the documentary.
Talking about her appearance in the documentary, Swiatek said, “There were some things that I thought they edited it, and people kind of misunderstood sometimes few situations in the episode.” Speaking about her discussions with Netflix, Swiatek remarked, “We already kind of spoke to Netflix about these things. I wish it could be done a bit differently. When we watched before the premiere, we couldn’t have any influence on how they edited some stuff.”
The world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka was a bit surprised to hear Swiatek’s comments about the documentary. Talking about Pole’s comments on the episode, Sabalenka said, “I know before episode comes out, you watch it with Netflix on Zoom & you can make this adjustment like, ‘I don’t like this.’ You can change this, that or that. I don’t know, like, why she couldn’t do that when she was checking her episode. I don’t know.”
The Belarusian player was bewildered by why Iga Swiatek wasn’t able to make adjustments to her Break Point episode. Netflix is yet to comment on the issue. The documentary helps bring players closer to fans by showcasing their professional lives. Netflix would need to be quick to dispel player’s doubts about their participation by amicably resolving this issue with Swiatek’s team and restoring the trust in their filming team.

Aryna Sabalenka calls out Cincinnati fans for lack of support

Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka has rarely been a crowd favorite. The world number 2 has often been called out by tennis fans for her extensive grunting in-between points. Participating in the Cincinnati Masters, the Belarusian called out the crowd for lack of support during her win over Ons Jabeur.
Speaking after her quarter-final win over the 5th-seeded Tunisian, Sabalenka remarked, “On the previous matches, I kind of felt the support. Today, I felt like you guys want me to leave.” Sabalenka recently played in the semi-final of the Cincinnati Masters. She was defeated by the Czech player Karolina Muchova.
With the win Karolina Muchova will reach the Top 10 for the first time next week. Meanwhile, Sabalenka will continue her preparation for the US Open later this month. If both lose in the same round, then Sabalenka will get the top spot.
