World No. 1 women’s tennis player Iga Swiatek has achieved so much so young. At the age of 22, Swiatek has already won four Grand Slam titles as well as a WTA Finals title.
The Polish ace has been at the helm of the ranking for almost two years now. With everyone looking at her as the next legend, Swiatek was asked about her favorite players of all time.
To everyone’s surprise, the 22-year-old snubbed Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic to pick Rafael Nadal as her favorite player on the men’s tour. On the WTA tour, Swiatek named Steffi Graf and Williams sisters as her inspiration.
Swiatek revealed that she has idolized Nadal since her childhood days and also claimed that she draws inspiration from the Spaniard about how to work hard and stay humble. Swiatek named Graf for her intensity on the court and Serena Williams for revolutionizing the game.

Iga Swiatek reveals her highest and lowest career moments so far
After having achieved so much already, Iga Swiatek was also asked about her highest and lowest moments so far in her career. The 22-year-old had an answer prepared as Swiatek named the WTA Finals win last year her highest moment.
Swiatek said that her lifting title at the 2023 WTA Finals after an early exit from the US Open and then finishing the season as the top-ranked player will remain the highlight of her career so far. Swiatek also talked about her lowest moment.
She revealed that not living up to the expectations at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics was something challenging for her.
It’s actually a tough question. As I’m constantly learning to enjoy my journey more and more and appreciate achievements I would say that winning Cancun and finishing 2023 as No 1 is something that will stay with me forever. But you know… every small win, every good practice and good day is a high moment for me. As for the low ones? Talking about her future ambitions, Swiatek revealed that winning all four Grand Slam titles and backing it with an Olympic medal is something she aspires to achieve. Notably, Swiatek has won three of the four Grand Slam titles at the French Open. She has also won a US Open title.
