World No 1 Polish star Iga Swiatek has started her 2023 campaign at the United Cup in Australia. Coming out of an incredible 2022 season, she is looking set as a clear favorite in this season too. Tunisian World No. 2 Ons Jabeur is among the players who can give her some challenge on the court.

The 21-year-old gave a great start to the season by scoring a win against Yulia Putintseva in Brisbane representing her team Poland. As the season progresses Swiatek is looking to add some more titles to her tally. Swiatek has also sounded a clear warning to her opponents.

“I feel like I’m getting stronger and stronger in my mind, so maybe I’m going to be able to control that,” she said earlier. Despite being way ahead of her opponents, Swiatek does not feel overconfident. “It’s not going to be helpful,” she expressed herself.
