Iga Swiatek is one of the most popular athletes on the WTA Tour. The Polish tennis star has achieved unprecedented success in the past couple of years, claiming four Grand Slam titles and holding the World No. 1 ranking for well over a year now. Recently, she expressed her views on the Netflix Documentary series ‘Break Point,’ stating that she was not comfortable with the whole concept.

The documentary series is inspired by the Formula One designed concept ‘Drive to Survive,’ where drivers’ reactions are recorded live over the eight-month season. Iga Swiatek revealed that she did watch an episode of Break Point, which has a similar concept. However, she feels that it is a bit weird to see cameras following her around.

The world number one revealed that she did not agree for the crew to visit her house, and interview her family members. “I only watched my episode. Sorry.. it was kind of weird watching me on this big tv show. The experience was nice & I learned a lot, but I also learned I’m not 100% comfortable with cameras following me around. I wasn’t 1 of those players who agreed to everything because I didn’t want the crew to be at my house, shooting with my family a lot,” said Swiatek.

Iga Swiatek recently competed at the 2023 Canadian Open, where she was defeated in three sets in the semifinals by Jessica Pegula. The top seed had a pretty uncomfortable week in Montreal, given that she was pushed to the limit in her earlier rounds. The Polish tennis star will look to assert her dominance in Cincinnati this week, as she has already managed to reach the last 16. The World No.1 completely outplayed local favorite Danielle Collins in straight sets, dropping just a single game.

Iga Swiatek was defeated in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Wimbledon by Elina Svitolina, as her troubles on the grass court continue. She claimed her third French Open title in June, as her dominance on clay courts remains unquestioned. She is now gearing up to defend her title at the 2023 US Open.
