World No.1 Iga Swiatek has finally shaken hands with all the greatest players of the sport. She has managed to stay on top of the WTA rankings for 71 weeks and has dethroned Caroline Wozniacki, who managed to stay on top of the pile for 70 weeks. Caroline was in tenth place on the all-time list for players who have managed to stay on the top for the most number of weeks.
A recent post was uploaded by a tennis page that uploaded the current and updated list of the top ten players. As everyone would have guessed, it is German great Steffi Graf in the number one position, having managed to stay on top for a record 377 weeks. She is followed by Martina Navratilova who could manage 332 weeks and then at the third position is Serena Williams, who was just 3 weeks shy of the second position having managed 319 weeks as a World No. 1.
Then followed Chris Evert with 260 weeks, and in the fifth position is Swiss great Martina Hingis with 209 weeks. The sixth position was secured by Monica Seles with 178 weeks and modern Australian star Ashleigh Barty has the seventh position secured to her name as of now with 121 weeks. Justine Henin is in eighth position with 117 weeks, followed by Lindsay Davenport with 98 weeks, and now Swiatek joins the list with her eyes all set to extend this run.
How far will Iga Swiatek go in the future?

Iga Swiatek has been an absolute revelation for women’s tennis. She has dominated the game for the last two years, giving absolutely no chance whatsoever to any of the modern superstars. Aged just 22, she has been the queen on the court of clay managing three Grand Slam titles already at the Roland Garros and her other one came at the US Open.
She is yet to win an Australian Open title and a Wimbledon title, but with the form she is in at the moment, it will be very difficult to stop her from clinching these two Slams as well. She has an overall career wins of about 263 matches, managing just 63 losses. Swiatek already has 15 singles titles to showcase her determination and hard work all throughout her short but successful career.
