Tomasz’s response when asked what he is most proud of as a father, is one of pride and adoration. “From where she came. She is, after all, a Polish woman who has won four Grand Slam tournaments. We should appreciate it and respect it,” he said.

When asked about the advantages of his Olympic rowing expertise in understanding his daughter’s path, Tomasz underlined the relevance of firsthand experience. “It’s much easier to understand someone else’s effort if you’ve done it yourself,” he says. Drawing on his own athletic experience, he understands that every pursuit, whether rowing or tennis, demands dedication, determination, and tenacity.
While rowing and tennis may appear to be quite different sports, Tomasz recognizes the problems that athletes confront in their respective sports. He emphasizes the importance of work and practice required to excel in any sport, explaining that even seemingly simple acts such as striking a ball into the net can be very taxing.
Furthermore, he recognizes his daughter’s capacity to learn from her experiences and mistakes, which has contributed to her tennis success. Her father is impressed by her quick understanding of new ideas and her ongoing improvement as a player, as she implements the lessons gained into her game.
