Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old from Australia reached his maiden major finals where he faced one of the best players in the world Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios progressed to the finals after Rafael Nadal pulled out of the semi-finals due to an injury, Kyrgios ended up losing the finals of the tournament to Djokovic as he won his 21st Grand Slam title.

Kyrgios lost the finals to Djokovic by 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3), praised for his unbelievable talent, Kyrgios proved his fans right after his amazing performances throughout the tournament. The Australian is proud of his progress and thinks that it is “pretty cool” that he made it to his first major finals.

Nick Kyrgios added that it feels pretty cool to be a runner-up in the Wimbledon final and expressed his disbelief in making it this far, despite losing the finals, the Australian is proud of his performance and so are so many people around the world. After winning the first set and dominating Djokovic through his serves, the Australian just fell short of maintaining his pace in the game. Many fans believe that this is not the last of Kyrgios we will see in a major final.

Kyrgios said, “I look back at it and I’m just like, How am I here?’ Like, where I’m from, everything I’ve been through, You know, it’s pretty cool. I’m just not supposed to be here. “Literally a month… month and a half ago, I was actually playing basketball with some boys back home and I said to one of them, ‘I think I’m going to have some fun and maybe win Wimbledon.
