The American former World No.4 was in great form coming to the Australian Open and her dream run saw her not dropping a set. Then she ran into Jelena Ostapenko in the fourth round and was bounced out. She won the ASB Classic in Auckland this year before the shocking loss in the first Major. Her best result in a Grand Slam is her final appearance in French Open 2022. She lost to Iga Swiatek there.

The American reached the quarter-finals of the French Open 2021 and the US Open 2022 but has never gone past the fourth round in the Australian Open and Wimbledon. She is aware of the battles ahead as she waits to win her first Grand Slam. As Coco said in a recent interview, she wants to learn from her fellow players Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka on how to bounce back from tough situations and deal with the pressure of being on top.

Coco Gauff defeated Spanish World No.90 Cristina Bucsa in the second round of the Indian Wells Masters after getting a bye in round 1. The second-round win was in straight sets for the American teen: 6-2, 6-4

Linda Noskova came to the tennis paradise looking for her first-ever WTA-1000 level match win. The Czech teen advances to the third round after two close calls in the previous rounds including a tie-breaker in each round. She was the 2021 Roland Garros junior champion and had already broken into the top 50 once. It was in February 2023.

American World No.6 Coco Gauff will take on Czech World No.54 Linda Noskova in the third round of the WTA-1000 Indian Wells Masters. Both of the eighteen-year-old stars will be meeting for the first time in their career. Coco Gauff was the 2018 Roland Garros champion at the junior level. Both of these junior-level Grand Slam champions are expected to play a great match in the last 16 of the WTA-1000 Indian Wells masters. Noskova has a 2-1 record against the top 10 players.

This will be only the second time in her professional career that the American teen will play against someone younger than her. The first time, She defeated  Robin Montgomery 6-3, 6-3 in San Diego.
