The tournament is scheduled from March 8-19 in Indian Wells Tennis Garden, California.

During the almost two-week event, men’s and women’s competitions will occur concurrently. The first edition of this tournament was held in 1976 and ever since it gained immense popularity on the west coast of America and across the globe. Over the years, the BNP Paribas Open has consistently attracted top players, and this year the focus will be on Daniil Medvedev, who has been performing exceptionally well in the last three weeks winning three tournaments. The three-time champion here, Rafael Nadal has already confirmed that he’s not participating. On the other hand, Novak Djokovic is in the mix amidst all the news around him about his entry into the country.

A few other interesting prospects are Carlos Alcaraz, a former World No. 1 who won the Argentina Open on his comeback and is working hard to recover from injury in time for the event. Taylor Fritz, the defending champion who won the Delray Beach Open trophy this season, is eager to defend his title.

In the women’s category, all players will be aiming to topple the reigning 2022 champion Iga Swiatek, who recently won in Doha. Although Aryna Sabalenka, the Australian Open titlist, had her winning streak halted in Dubai, it is uncertain whether she can make a quick recovery. Barbora Krejcikova, who recently won in Dubai, will try to maintain her impressive form and cause more upsets at Indian Wells.
