Indian Wells, aka BNP Paribas Open, is all set to kick off on March 3. It will be the tournament’s 47th edition and the players are all geared up for the major tournament of the year. Apart from 1000 ranking points, a huge sum of prize money is also on offer, which makes it an exciting tournament for the players.
The 2024 edition of the tournament will be no exception in terms of the players participating. Tennis superstars like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will play at the 2024 Indian Wells.
Meanwhile, rising stars like Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff will be featured in the women’s event. Veteran players like Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki will also be seen in action competing for the lucrative prize money and ranking points at the Indian Wells.
While Indian Wells already had a large prize pool, it has been increased further. Last month, the authorities announced an increase in the pool of more than $1.4M over the previous year. This takes the total prize pool to a massive $19M.
The tournament also announced that-
More than $1M in additional prize money will be added in 2024 dedicated to supporting players across both Tours in singles qualifying through second rounds of the tournament.
