“Is it all about the majors?” Patrick Mouratoglou raises questions about Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic’s legacy in an attempt to analyse the GOAT race
Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer
Amid all the talented stars to dominate tennis, there has long been a discussion surrounding which player is the best to have ever stepped on the court. There will never be a reasonable reaction in tennis as to who the greatest tennis player of all time is. It’s a very similar question like which is the best movie in Hollywood or which rap song is the best. Fans of each claim that their man is better than the other two. It would have been much easier to say if only one of those three achieved far more titles than anyone in the game.
Novak Djokovic has now won 21 majors in his career which put him only one short of Rafael Nadal and also takes him one ahead of Roger Federer in the total no. of grand slams. The Serb has proved that he is coming to get the throne of most Wimbledon titles and Most grand slams. Novak is the youngest of all and is currently in good shape, which tells us that he can dominate the race. Roger who is 40 years old still wants to complete and we will see that at the end of this year’s Laver Cup. It’s tough to say that Swiss International can go ahead of the other two. Naval, who is 36 years old and is currently leading the race with 22 major titles, though his injuries keep on coming after one another.

Patrick recently posted a video of him on his Instagram account where the latter was seen breaking down the titles all three have won in their career which tells us a different story because all three are ahead of one another if we take events separately.
“is it all about the majors? Novak has won most master events. He has a huge 38 titles to Rafa, 36 and Rogers, 28. Rafa is the only one out of the three to win gold in the Olympic singles event. Roger leads at the end of year ATP finals, winning it six times to Novak’s five and Rafa’s, zero. And finally, Roger has won the most ATP titles overall with his 103 career titles to Rafa’s 92 and Novak’s 88. Is the goat race all about the numbers or is it more than that? Who’s your goat?” He asked
The debate will go on forever… like the one we see in football between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo which has been going since 15 years!
