The French star, Gilles Simon revealed that Novak Djokovic is annoyed over the questions about his Australian Open injury. According to reports, Novak Djokovic is feeling ‘irritated’ by the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his hamstring injury that raised doubts during the Australian Open. Several observers accused the Serbian player of exaggerating his injury after he took multiple medical breaks during his first three matches of the tournament.

During the semi-final of Adelaide International, before the start of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the 35-year-old sustained a hamstring injury. Despite making it through the initial rounds of the tournament, Djokovic admitted that the injury was extremely uncomfortable. After his second-round match, he acknowledged that his hamstring felt significantly painful at times.

Despite initial concerns, Djokovic displayed fewer indications of injury as the tournament advanced. He eventually won his 10th Australian Open championship title at Melbourne Park. Craig Tiley confirmed that the Serbian player secured his 22nd Grand Slam victory despite suffering from a hamstring tear measuring three centimeters.

Gilles Simon spoke to the Serbian newspaper Alo! and said “He’s (Djokovic) always being interrogated, and it annoys him. They don’t have to try to justify themselves, it just feeds them. Some will defend him no matter what. Others will attack him. Federer too. They’re so big they’re dealing with these things.”

Novak Djokovic requests special entry into USA

Novak Djokovic, the top-ranked player in the world, has submitted his application to participate in the Masters 1000 tournaments scheduled in Indian Wells and Miami. Djokovic has previously claimed the championship title five times at Indian Wells but has been unable to compete on the hard courts in Southern California since 2019 due to the United States vaccination regulations.

Djordje Djokovic has confirmed that the necessary paperwork has been submitted by Nole to participate in the upcoming tournament. However, it is important to note that the United States still maintains a vaccine mandate for foreign air travelers. But this is not anticipated to be lifted before the beginning of main draw action on March 9.
