“It is definitely better” Novak Djokovic gives his take on his unique relationship with Nick Kyrgios

The finalists of the 2022 Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic, and Nick Kyrgios are both world-class players in their own rights and both of them share a special relationship both on and off the court. Kyrgios reached his first-ever major final after being handed a walkover by Rafael Nadal due to an abdominal tear and Novak Djokovic booked his spot in the finals after defeating Cameron Norrie yesterday.
Kyrgios mentioned a bromance developing between him and Djokovic, even though the Serbian thinks it is too soon to call it a bromance. Kyrgios came in Djokovic’s support after he was deported before the Australian Open in January. Despite calling Djokovic a ‘tool’ earlier, Kyrgios has had a change of heart and now claims that both the players have developed a ‘weird’ bromance between them.
“We actually message each other on DMs in Instagram now and stuff. It’s really weird” Kyrgios mentions bromance with Djokovic ahead of the final
With the support that Kyrgios displayed for Djokovic during the Australian Open really seemed to mend the relationship between the two of them. Djokovic said, “When it was really tough for me in Australia, he was one of the very few players that came out publicly and supported me and stood by me, That’s something I truly appreciate. So I respect him for that a lot.”
On the matter, Kyrgios said “We definitely have a bit of a bromance now, which is weird. I think everyone knows there was no love lost for a while there. I think it was healthy for the sport. I think every time we played each other, there was hype around it. It was interesting for the media, the people watching, all that“
