Stefanos Tsitsipas was seen at the Glyfada Tennis Club posing for pictures and signing balls for his fans. He also gave an interview where everything ranging from tennis to his personal life was discussed.

On talking about receiving criticism from the tennis fraternity for still keeping his father as his coach, he said, “I’ve heard hundreds of times that I have to change him.” Stefanos Tsitsipas also referred to all the talk that was surrounding his relationship with Spanish Tennis player, Paula Badosa and how people call her a distraction in his life.

Replying to all the hate and criticism, Stefanos Tsitsipas said, ” I’ve heard hundreds of times that I have to change him. But these are said by people who do not know my daily life. I train six days a week, spend more than half a day every day doing gym, physio, talking to my team about nutrition – doing everything I can to get to the next level.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a disappointing run at this year’s US Open, losing to Dominic Stricker in only the second round of the Tournament. In the interview, he also talked about Novak Djokovic’s accomplishment of 24 slams. He also said that nothing could match the impact and craze that Roger Federer has had on the game.

Stefanos Tsitsipas withdraws from the Laver Cup

Stefanos Tsitsipas announced his withdrawal from the Laver Cup this year following an injury. The Greek will be replaced by Arthur Fils in Team Europe. Team Europe will look to stop Team World from defending the title this year.

Tsitsipas is not the first one to withdraw from the Laver Cup. Holger Rune also withdrew from the competition to get a treatment on his back. Arthur Fils, Stefanos Tsitsipas’s replacement has had a breakout season this year and reached a career-high ranking of 44.
