Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov and Serbian player Miomir Kecmanović were seen trying to learn the Chinese culture ahead of their participation in the ATP 250, i.e., the Chengdu Open, which takes place in the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China. Interestingly. the two players were seen trying out Kung Fu, one of the many Chinese martial arts, and they also saw some masters in action.
The cultural event where all this happened took place at Feng Qing Lake, which is located very close to the Sichuan International Tennis Center. Grigor Dimitrov and Kecmanovic learned some of the basic and famous stances of Kung Fu and also tested their wrist strength in a training exercise after seeing a beautiful display of the various styles of Kung Fu by the masters.
Grigor Dimitrov, who claimed to be a Jackie Chan fan, said after the event, “I’m a big fan of kung fu, but I don’t think I did very well today. I think it’s amazing art, and I’m such a huge Jackie Chan fan, so it was nice to experience that a little, and hopefully one day I will have the chance to explore more of it. Doing the standing poses was really fun.”
Kecmanovic, on the other hand, said that this was the first time he tried Kung Fu and that he learned that it was not as easy as they make it seem in the movies. He further highlighted the fact that he enjoyed his time and tried to replicate the poses shown by the masters.

Grigor Dimitrov looks to kick off his Chengdu Open campaign with a win
Grigor Dimitrov will kick off his Chengdu Open campaign tomorrow. Although his opponent is not known yet, he will try to start the tournament with a big win, as that will be great for his momentum. Grigor Dimitrov currently has a ranking of World No. 20, and he is one of the higher-ranked players in this tournament.
Dimitrov is the 3rd seed in the tournament, just behind first seed Alexander Zverev and second seed Lorenzo Musetti. Although Zverev is the unanimous favorite to win the tournament, Grigor Dimitrov has a great chance of getting a great result in the Chengdu Open if he is just able to focus on his game.
