Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has touched the lives of many with his extraordinary skills on the court. His dedicated fanbase is sometimes known as the “Nolefam”. One such fan was Padma Rajan, who recently passed away, leaving behind a void in the hearts of the Djokovic family and the entire Nolefam community.

Padma Rajan was a passionate fan of Novak Djokovic from the very beginning. Rajan’s dedication to Djokovic extended beyond the stadium walls. She initiated a petition to allow Djokovic to compete in the 2022 US Open, which at the time garnered over 43,000 signatures.

Upon learning about Padma Rajan’s passing, Jelena Djokovic, Novak’s wife, took to Twitter to express her emotions. She shared a heartwarming memory of their encounter and the impact Rajan had on her.

“I remember Padma very well. What a beautiful soul she is! Usually when people hug me, they say how tiny I am. But I remember hugging her and feeling how gentle, almost fragile she is! How much love I felt and kindness in our few encounters,” Jelena wrote.

Jelena Djokovic extended her deepest condolences to Padma Rajan’s family and children. “My condolences to the family, to her two children she loved and cared for very much. I am really sad and heartbroken to learn about her passing. The whole @novakfoundation loved her enthusiasm, and we valued her support over the years. May she rest in peace,” Jelena expressed.
