KARMA STRIKES! Alex Hawke the Australian immigration minister, pivotal in Novak Djokovic’s deportation has been sacked
Novak Djokovic, Alex Hawke
Novak Djokovic missed the Australian Open 2022 as he was deported from the down under due to his vaccination status. This was the first time Djokovic had missed an Australian Open in his career. He arrived in Australia in 2022 as the three-time defending champion and try to go past three consecutive Australian Open titles, but his hopes were dashed as the immigration minister, Alex Hawke along with Prime Minister Scott Morrison called it equality in the treatment of all unvaccinated people in deporting Djokovic.
Djokovic had obtained an exemption from Covid vaccination rules from the State government and Australian tennis officials that would allow him to compete in the event. But upon his arrival, the Prime Minister and his enforcers took it upon themselves to kick out any individual who was unvaccinated from Australia. He was given the reasons including putting his fellow competitors at risk by competing in the tournament and after a lot of drama, Djokovic was deported from Australia. But it seems that the minister too had some things coming his way.

Alex Hawke gets sacked as Twitterati term his corrupt
It is said that Karma comes for everything we have done, good or bad. Hawke has been previously embroiled in controversies due to his support for allowing schools to expel LGBTQ students. He has also been involved in several accusations of racism and corruption. For Djokovic’s deportation, he gave “health and good order grounds” as the reason. Hawke has been sacked from his position and Twitteratis have called it a Karma for all his deeds. Though some of them even defended his saying he was just following orders.
