The last Grand Slam of the year, the US Open, has finished successfully, with second seed Novak Djokovic coming out as the victor. Djokovic defeated third seed Daniil Medvedev by a score of 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-3. This was the Serb’s monumental 24th Grand Slam title. As a result, the ATP rankings have experienced a massive shift.
And with it, the 36-year-old has regained his world No. 1 ranking. Adding 2,000 points to his already impressive tally, Djokovic now has 11,795 points to his name. The Serbian ace has dethroned Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who sits firmly in the second spot with 8,535 points. His semi-final loss at the US Open against Medvedev made him take a dip of 1,280 points.
Medvedev continues his reign as the World No.3 with a total of 7,280 points. He earned a spectacular 1,020 surplus of points after a great season. Stefanos Tsitsipas has risen in rankings thanks to his stable performance this year. He has moved up from the 7th to the 5th position with a whopping 4,615 points.

He is currently the ninth seed and has accumulated 3,560 points.
Alexander Zverev reached the quarterfinals of the US Open this year. Consequently, his ATP ranking has jumped two spots. He has finally managed to get back in the top ten and is now ranked tenth in the world.
