Latest WTA Rankings post Stuttgart Open 2022: Iga Swiatek continues reigning as World No. 1, Badosa reaches all-time career-high

The Stuttgart Open was certainly an exciting tournament with a lot of highs and lows. As the new WTA Rankings are released today, it seems that some players have definitely shifted into a higher spot, while some have gone down in their ranking. Stuttgart Open marks the preparation on clay for the upcoming French Open. From some exciting matches to some disappointments, the tournament had it all.
World No.1 Iga Swiatek finished the tournament with a style to be remembered for. Collecting the trophy by arriving in a Porsche to creating achievements, the Pole has gone above and beyond and created records.
Besides her, Paula Badosa, has inched a position higher to World No.2 after reaching the semi-finals and losing to Aryna Sabalenka. The Pole and 20-year-old has become a well-known player and at this point, she is a heavy favorite to win the French Open this year.
Emma Raducanu has also become World No. 11 and Aryna Sabalenka is World No. 4 after becoming the runner-up of the Stuttgart Open. Tunisian player Ons Jabeur crashed out of the round of 32 and is currently at World No. 10, and former World No.1 and German player Angelique Kerber also shockingly crashed out of round of 32 and is World No. 19. Coco Gauff the 18-year-old teenager still has yet to polish her skills as she crashed out of round of 32 and is now World No. 16.

Iga Swiatek is the world no. 1 has proved to be a worthy successor for now retired, Ash Barty. This is her fourth straight win in her tournamnet and we hope she continues this run in her quest for the second Grand Slam. The current World No. 2 Paula Badosa reached the semi-finals and thereby raised her ranking to her carrer best World No. 2. Coco Gauff, at the mere age of 18 has already managed to come into the top 20 players and we know that she is only going to get better and better.
