The teenagers of tennis entered the Australian with a different mindset as they caused a few upsets to leave the world stunned. This time it was the young Linda Noskova who took down the top seed Iga Swiatek in a thriller of a match.

Noskova is team-rolling through her draw as she secured her spot in the fourth round. After a straight-set victory in her first match against compatriot Marie Bouzková, the youngster then beat Mccartney Kessler in an exciting three-set match before facing the toughest match of her career. She was up against the very dangerous Iga Swiatek who she made clean work of coming back from a set down. Noskova won her third-round match 3-6,6-3,6-4 to advance to the fourth round of the Slam.

The draws were divided into 4 quarters with a couple of top seeds in one quarter. However, with major upsets, the doors are wide open for anyone to try their luck at the title. This includes the 19-year-old Noskova who finds herself in a good position for a deep run.

By beating Swiatek, the youngster faces another Top 20 player Elina Svitolina in the fourth round. The winner of this match becomes one of the 8 members in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. If Noskova manages to cause another upset, she will face the winner between Victoria Azarenka and Dayana Yastremska for a spot in the top 4 of the tournament.

With a tough draw, the youngster would look to reach as deep as possible. However, with the presence of other champion players like Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff, the competition is still tight. Can Sabalenka manage a successful title defense or will Australia hail a new champion? Fans are left wondering as the tournament progresses to its final week of play.
