This resounding victory marked her first win against the top seed of the tournament. It did not look like an upset was brewing at the start of the match, but the youngster managed to flip the script and record a win over the top seed.

On the other hand, Swiatek joined Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula out of the tournament early on, leaving a chance for the youngster to try and shine through in the season-opening Grand Slam. With this win, the young Noskova found herself in the top 16 for the first time in her career and with a good chance to announce herself to the tennis world. With the draw more open than ever, there is no telling who will win the tournament.
