List of records broken by Novak Djokovic after winning the Wimbledon 2022

Novak Djokovic with his 2022 Wimbledon trophy
Novak Djokovic was able to successfully defend his Wimbledon title for the third time in a row. Djokovic faced Nick Kyrgios for the title of Wimbledon 2022, and like last year won the match in four sets after dropping the first set. Djokovic had a rough year, being deported from Australia, and was not able to defend his Australian Open crown. He lost to Rafael Nadal in the French Open quarterfinal and came to Wimbledon without any lead-up tournaments. Djokovic is proving to be almost invincible on grass, with his last loss at SW19 being five years ago.
This Wimbledon Djokovic might have been facing more pressure to win the title as he is most likely not going to play the US Open 2022 due to his vaccination status and to stay close to Rafael Nadal’s 22 Grand Slam record, it was imperative that he makes his 21st at Wimbledon 2022. Djokovic lost the first set but was able to figure out a clear strategy to take down the unpredictable and least expected finalist Nick Kyrgios to win the title for the seventh time.
