The American was disappointed and left the post-match press conference in just a few minutes. She quoted on Twitter (now renamed as X) that she left it all on the court. In her words, “Gave it my all. This one hurt but I know deep down there’s a lot to be proud of.”

Madison Keys was in tears during the post-match conference
The American star Madison Keys, after leaving everything on the court and fighting like a true warrior, was not able to console herself during the post-match press conference. The warm and gentle woman who was even gracious enough to shake hands with Sabalenka crossing the net after the devastating loss shed tears in the post-match conference of the US Open semi-final.
As Keys said during the press conference, “I think everyone at the start of the tournament would be really excited to be in the semis. Right now, it sucks. I just think being able to take this & turn it into a positive is really possible. There’s still a lot to be proud of.”
The American was aiming for her first Grand Slam final in her long career. She must be regretting the golden chances missed in the second set after being a breakup twice and even having the chance to close out the match on her serve against Aryna Sabalenka. The tennis world is expecting the American to be continuing her top form in the upcoming tournaments as well.
