Former world No.1, Serena Williams expresses her love for the pop icon and singer, Rihanna. She also hoped that Rihanna would perform at the upcoming Super Bowl and is eagerly waiting for her performance. Serena has been a big fan of Rihanna for a long time and never hesitated to express her love and admiration for the Barbadian singer.

The 41-year-old American retired from professional tennis last year at her home Major. She was defeated by Ajla Tomljanovic at the Arthur Ash stadium in a three-hour epic match. This third-round match of the U.S. Open saw the last match of Serena as she announced she will be retiring. However, Serena kept herself busy post-retirement by acting in commercials and attending events.

 In an exclusive interview for Essence, Serena expressed her love for Rihanna by saying “I sure hope she does, Lift Me Up, it makes me cry every time. It’s such a beautiful song. I’m a huge fan of Rihanna. I was so happy that she did that song for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and I’m so Glad she’s making the Super Bowl. It’s going to be really exciting.”

She further continued talking in the interview and said “We get to see some familiar faces, some legendary athletes, and even some friendly competition for a more playful and fun side of ourselves and it’s only worth it if we’re having fun.” However, Rihanna is most likely to perform for the Half-time show at the upcoming Super Bowl. Serena is as excited as many other fans who are eagerly waiting to watch the singer perform.

Serena Williams continues her collaboration with a beer brand

The American has an ongoing collaboration with Michelob ULTRA, for which she stars in a commercial for the beer brand for the third consecutive year at the Super Bowl. In the same interview with Essence, she also talked about her collaboration and said “I love Michelob Ultra. I like that it reminds us of joy. I am a very joyful person.” She finally ended by saying “I love to laugh. I love bringing it into my life. And so I think that’s what we see in these announcements that we’ve done in the past.”

She also revealed her post-retirement plans and said she would love to golf. She also said she couldn’t get time to read books since her daughter Olympia was born. Apart from reading books and playing golf, she loves to go to movies and said it’s her favorite thing to do as it relaxes her mind.
