Matteo Berrettini and Andy Murray are currently squaring off in the first round of the 2024 Miami Open and it is turning out to be an extremely thrilling battle. The Italian won the first set while the British took the second, forcing the match to the final set.
Both players have been very much out of touch, but they have more or less impressed the netizens with their performance in the match so far. For Matteo Berrettini, this is only his second tournament of 2024 after the Phoenix Challenger. He reached the final of the Phoenix Challenger, where he lost to Nuno Borges.

In the match against Andy Murray, the Italian was seen hitting a single-handed backhand shot, exemplifying the fact that he is taking this match pretty seriously because Berrettini is not usually known for one-handed backhands. In fact, he has probably used it only four or five times in his career so far, although finding success in it whenever used.
