Carlos Alcaraz won the Miami Open and has not looked back since. The 18-year-old sensation clawed back from a set down to triumph in the exhilarating semi-finals of the Barcelona open against Australian player Alex De Minaur. The Spaniard showed his impressive skills on the court and showed the world his potential, all at the age of 18.
The world no. 11 reached the semi-finals by defeating the Monte-Carlo Masters champion Stefanos Tsitsipas and marched on to play one of the most challenging matches to reach the finals. His mental strength was top notch and so was his physical strength. The 18-year-old certainly showcased his potential and sent the world a message and proved why he was a fan favorite as well as a favorite in the tennis world.
The youngster saved not one but two match points in the second set which turned the tides of the match in his favor. The first match point save came in the second set when the Spaniard returned a powerful forehand while he was running on the court. The Miami Open winner showed off his flexibility by running while hitting a forehand which tied both their scores. The energized teenager then played even better in the third set by comfortably winning the third set with a score of 6-4

With a loss record of 0 in the ATP 500 tournament, the world no. 11 will only be looking forward to continuing this streak. He will next face fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta in the finals, which will be highly anticipated to see if the youngster can earn himself another title.
The match in the Monte Carlo Masters was just a slump when he lost in the round of 32, and it looks like he is going to be a strong contender for the French Open title. It will be the first grand slam should the teenager manage to win it.
