The 2024 Miami Open will commence (main draw) on March 20, 2024, and the final will be played on March 31, 2024. It is one of the most prestigious ATP Masters 1000 events in the tour.
Last year, Daniil Medvedev beat Jannik Sinner in the final to win the title and the Russian will look to repeat the same this year. However, he will be up against incredibly difficult competition as his immediate rivals like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev are all in brilliant form.
Novak Djokovic announced a few days ago that he would not participate in the tournament this year after his disappointing loss against Luca Nardi in the third round of the 2024 Indian Wells.
The matches in the Miami Open are played on the outdoor hardcourts of the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The clay season will soon commence after this.

The top three matchups of the round of 32 are expected to be Alcaraz vs. Monfils, Rune vs. Lehecka, and Rublev vs. Berrettini, respectively. While Carlos Alcaraz is clearly the favorite to win the match against Gael Monfils, the Frenchman has shown significant improvements in his performance in the past few weeks.
Holger Rune and Andrey Rublev are also the favorites to win their respective matches, but they have proven to be highly inconsistent in the last few tournaments, which makes these matches interesting to watch.

The 20-year-old lost to Zverev most recently in the quarterfinal of the 2024 Australian Open. Thus, the fourth seed will be the favorite to win this match.
On the other hand, Medvedev is 6-4 up against Sinner in head-to-head matches. However, it is the Italian who has won their last four encounters. Sinner has had a great record against the Russian lately and he has defeated him in three recent finals, including the 2024 Australian Open final. Thus, Sinner is expected to continue his winning run against the 28-year-old Russian.
