The 2024 Miami Open will commence (main draw) on March 20, 2024, and the final will be played on March 31, 2024. It is one of the most prestigious ATP Masters 1000 events in the tour.

Last year, Daniil Medvedev beat Jannik Sinner in the final to win the title and the Russian will look to repeat the same this year. However, he will be up against incredibly difficult competition as his immediate rivals like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev are all in brilliant form.

Holger Rune and Andrey Rublev are also the favorites to win their respective matches, but they have proven to be highly inconsistent in the last few tournaments, which makes these matches interesting to watch.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has been in a very on-and-off form lately, which is why Rublev is once again the favorite in this match. On the other hand, Alex de Minaur has been in really great form lately and he might as well oust Rune in their clash.

Quarterfinals Prediction

  • Alexander Zverev vs Alex de Minaur
  • Taylor Fritz vs Daniil Medvedev
  • Andrey Rublev vs Jannik Sinner

While Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev are surely making it to the semifinals from here, the other two matches will be really close. However, Sinner and Zverev are expected to beat their respective opponents in this round after a close battle.

Semifinals Prediction

  • Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexander Zverev
  • Daniil Medvedev vs Jannik Sinner

Alcaraz and Zverev have played a total of 11 matches against each other and the German has a 7-4 lead over the Spaniard in head-to-head matches. The 20-year-old lost to Zverev most recently in the quarterfinal of the 2024 Australian Open. Thus, the fourth seed will be the favorite to win this match.

On the other hand, Medvedev is 6-4 up against Sinner in head-to-head matches. However, it is the Italian who has won their last four encounters. Sinner has had a great record against the Russian lately and he has defeated him in three recent finals, including the 2024 Australian Open final. Thus, Sinner is expected to continue his winning run against the 28-year-old Russian.

Final Prediction

  • Alexander Zverev vs Jannik Sinner
Jannik Sinner

Sinner and Zverev have played a total of 5 matches against each other and the German won four of those matches. However, the Italian has improved a lot over the span of a few months and he is one of the best players in the world right now. Thus, the Italian might have an upper hand against the German in the final of the 2024 Miami Open.

Prediction: Jannik Sinner beats Alexander Zverev in 3 sets in the final to win the 2024 Miami Open.
