Russian tennis prodigy Mirra Andreeva has reportedly parted ways with her coach, Jean-René Lisnard. It comes as a surprise to the tennis world as the 16-year-old attained a meteoric rise at such a young age, especially in 2023. She made it to the Top 60 of the WTA rankings this year and also reached the round of 16 of the 2023 Wimbledon, which was one of her biggest achievements of the year.

Jean‐René Lisnard, as per welovetennis.fr, has parted ways with the Russian youngster and she is without a coach now. It will be interesting to see who she picks as her new coach. Mirra, after all, is just 16 years old and thus it is of utmost importance that she chooses a good mentor to guide her to glory, as she is still at a developing stage in her career where she needs to learn a lot.

Mirra Andreeva also recently received the Rising Teenage Star award from WTA. Among youngsters, Mirra Andreeva made the most progress in the 2023 season and there’s no doubt about it. She finished the 2022 season with a ranking of World No. 405. Compared to that, she made considerable improvements this year which is also reflected in the improvement in her ranking.

The Russian teenager now has some good experience in the Grand Slam events. She lost to the eventual champion Coco Gauff in the second round of the US Open while she managed to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon, which, as mentioned earlier, was arguably her best achievement of the season by far.
