‘Morrison deported!’ Twitter reasons Novak Djokovic’s ‘harsh’ deportation for Scott Morrison’s election defeat
Scott Morrison, Novak Djokovic
Current Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s 4-year reign as the head of the government comes to an end after he conceded defeat to strong opposition. With this, the 9-year conservative rule has also ended. The Labor Party, which received a lot of support on the call of climate change, will now come into power.
The Liberal-National coalition had to face a lot of backlash because of their outdated policies, especially in Western Australia. As a result, they won’t be able to form a government for a 4th consecutive time. While there are many factors in Morrison’s defeat, netizens are hyping up the one which probably has nothing to do with his loss.
Tennis fans across the world were upset earlier this year when Novak Djokovic wasn’t allowed to compete in Australia. He was forced to skip the Australian Open, where he is a 9-time champion. This was all because of Morrison’s government’s ruling and his firm stand on the matter that Djokovic was a threat to the Australian people.
Twitter takes a dig at Scott Morrison
Many people across social media have used Morrison’s defeat to hit back at him for apparently being unfair to Djokovic. While many consider this as a just result of deporting one of the best players in the world, others think that the Djokovic saga has nothing to do with Morrison’s defeat. Some are even justifying his loss as the act of ‘karma’.
