Ahead of the 2021 French Open, Naomi Osaka made a bold move when she announced that she would not be taking part in any of the media engagements to protect her mental health. However, when she skipped the press conference after the first round, the Japanese was fined $15,000 by the organizers.
As a result, she withdrew from the tournament ahead of her second-round match against Ana Bogdan and announced that she had been suffering from long bouts of depression since the US Open in 2018, and thus both parties would be in favor of this decision.

However, even after three years, some fans keep on talking about that incident, and Naomi Osaka has now given a savage reply to a fan who did the same.
Is this the same Naomi Osaka who refuses to talk to the media and cries foul on questions that are both appropriate and necessary?"The fan commented on one of Osaka’s posts.
To that, the 4-time Grand Slam title winner gave a fitting reply
I didn't talk for one tournament in 2021, you seem very affected by that are you ok?Osaka replied
However, Naomi Osaka did not stop there and shared a screenshot of the interaction on her Instagram story.

Honestly lol cause why are some people still so hurt by something that happened to me 3 years ago.Contining further, she added
Naomi Osaka has successfully won her battle with depression. Moreover, now that she is a mother, she has a very different perspective on the world, and fans can clearly see that from her interviews.
Naomi Osaka is improving her performance gradually
Naomi Osaka just recently made her comeback to the court at the Brisbane International after a year of break due to her pregnancy.

She is currently on an arc to return to her previous form, and that will take some time. However, Osaka’s progress is visible, and although she is taking ‘baby steps’, the 4-time Grand Slam title champion will surely get there soon.
She got eliminated from the second round of the Brisbane International, following which she suffered a heartbreaking first-round loss against Caroline Garcia in the first round of the Australian Open.
However, she defeated the same Caroline Garcia in the first round of the Qatar Open, which itself is proof of the 26-year-old’s progress. She reached the quarterfinals of the tournament before getting knocked out by Karolina Pliskova in straight sets.
