The four-time Grand Slam champion took a break from tennis to work on her mental health, which then turned into a pregnancy break. After a year of break, she finally returned to the Brisbane International for a short yet much-needed time. 

I don’t want to put pressure on myself, but I do think I can win a slam this year. I know I've got several more Slams in me.

She revealed that she keeps her daughter’s schedule in mind and works in such a way that her child doesn’t miss her. Her return to court was met with a lot of love from the fans and is a strong addition to the women’s draw.

Osaka will be seen playing her first match of the Open against a very experienced Caroline Garcia in a matchup that is sure to start the tournament with a bang.
