Japanese tennis ace Naomi Osaka is a renowned personality in the world now. The 26-year-old has won four Grand Slam titles and has remained at the top of the rankings for a significant time. Osaka recently gave birth to her first child. While she is a mother now, Osaka was also a kid once and there is an embarrassing memory for her from that time. 

The 26-year-old in her biography titled Naomi Osaka: Her Journey to Finding Her Power and Her Voice written by Ben Rothenberg reveals how she feels embarrassed when someone sends her clips from the movie where she performed as a child artist.

Notably, Osaka and her sister were cast as Rachel (Naomi) and Alicia (Mari) in Selfish Love, the two children of a fraught marriage at the center of their father, Leonard Maxime Francois’ first feature film. The film involved strong scenes including domestic violence and as per the biography, Osaka’s father wanted his daughters to be ready for any such situation.

The biography also talks about the impact Naomi Osaka’s father had on the results of the matches played between the two sisters. Osaka’s elder sister Mari Osaka revealed that Leonardo made them win the other one alternatively to avoid any quarrel.

The first time I won but my dad had told Naomi to let me win. The second time he told me to let her win because he didn’t want to see us fighting after the match. I still fought during, but I stopped myself most of the match. My dad didn’t want the road trip home to be constant arguing in the back seat.

Notably, Osaka’s elder sister Mari initially had the upper hand on the Japanese ace on the court but was never able to match her younger sister on the pro tour, playing just one WTA main draw match at the 2019 Miami Open.

Nevertheless, both sisters are successful in their domains now. While Naomi is a world-class tennis player, Mari is a successful fashion designer now.
