Naomi Osaka penned down a few thoughts to take away from the Miami Open. Though she was disappointed, the Japanese star did take away some positives and sounded excited to head into the clay season.

The 2-time Australian Open winner made it back to tennis after a mental health break followed by a pregnancy break. With little to no form, the Japanese played the initial few tournaments of the year, without getting success straightaway. Osaka took it step-by-step and has shown minor improvements in successive tournaments.

This time around, Osaka played brilliant tennis at the Miami Open, even beating a Top 15 player. She made it to the third round before losing to Caroline Garcia for the second time this year. Taking in all these thoughts, Osaka revealed her learning in these couple of weeks on her Instagram.

Honestly, really devastated to have lost but extremely grateful and thankful for the support, it was fun to pay in an atmosphere like this again,
said Naomi Osaka via Instagram.
I'm excited to see how far I can go and where life takes me. I think my second match was definitely the best match I’ve played so far and hope I can play more matches like this in the future.
