Japanese professional tennis star Naomi Osaka has been MIA from the court for quite some time now. However, much to fans’ delight, she is back on court and has started training just 15 days after giving birth to her daughter, Shai. Naomi’s last match was at the US Open in 2022, where she lost in the first round to American Danielle Collins in straight sets.
Earlier this year, Naomi took time off from tennis to focus on her mental health and herself. The tennis professional further talked about how she will be back for the 2024 season and that she misses the fans and the excitement of being on the court. That’s not all; she even openly admitted that she was struggling with mental health issues.
Naomi is a four-time Grand Slam title winner with two Australian Open and two US Open titles in her name. Not only is she a spectacular player on the court she is often praised and respected by other players for her being open and vocal about her struggles with mental health.

Naomi is making a comeback after being away from the Tour for more than a year now. She revealed she will be back on the court, competing at the Australian Open next year.
After winning her fourth title, she opened up about her depression and anxiety and how she wants to perform better than she did before, not just for herself but for her daughter Shai. During an interview with a Japanese journalist earlier this year. She said, ‘’For me, my results just made me want to try harder and be the best that I can be. I’ll be competing in Australia next year.’’
