Naomi Osaka is hopeful that she will win the Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the 2024 comeback season. The Japanese, who went on a 15-month break during which she had her first child, Shai, has been facing difficulties in finding her rhythm.
Osaka lost her opening game at the Australian Open against Caroline Garcia, a few weeks after her second-round loss at the Brisbane International.
With four Grand Slam titles under her belt, the tennis player told The Cut that she bears much weight on her shoulders each day but manages to pull through with the help of her daughter. That’s not all; as per the tennis professional herself, she would love to compete at the Paris Olympics and remain ambitious, notwithstanding the negative talk about her career.
I’ve always been very ambitious. I hold myself to a high standard and can be very hard on myself when I don’t reach goals that I set for myself. Motherhood has really helped me put things into perspective. Work used to be everything. For a long time, I’ve tied winning to my worth as a person and wondered if I’m a good enough tennis player. The former US Champion said via The Cut
Despite the challenges, Naomi Osaka has been doing brilliantly. Well, perhaps a WTA title will give her the needed boost to focus on her career and let go of outside voices.
I’ve been able to take steps back and realize that it’s not the most important thing in my life. I have learned to put less pressure on myself while maintaining the hunger to win. I want to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon. I am also really excited to go back and compete at the Olympic Games.Continuing further, he added

Speaking to The Cut, she said that she would tell her younger self to enjoy the time while it lasts.
I wish that someone told me to enjoy the ride. It goes by so fast, and I’ve really been trying to live in the moment and appreciate this time, as you only have a limited amount of time to play at this level.Naomi Osaka added
At the Abu Dhabi tournament, the Japanese would face American qualifier Danielle Collins before going on to face Elena Rybakina. The Japanese millionaire is hoping to start the year with titles and grow in form as the year continues.
