We know that she can hit the ball extremely hard, so pace is not going to be a problem at all. And one thing is for sure, an Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka or Elena Rybakina, does not want to play against somebody like Naomi Osaka. The pressure will be on for them.Barbara Schett told Eurosport
Osaka is making a very quick comeback to the court. In just six months after giving birth to her daughter Shai, she will be there competing. This speaks tons of her dedication and commitment to the sport.
Naomi Osaka will have new perspectives upon her return
After staying out of the court for quite a period, it won’t be easy to come into full flow. Osaka will be a bit shaky for the first few matches. But with the Brisbane International, she will already have match experience and momentum under her belt before she steps onto the Australian Open. Barbara Schett has claimed that Osaka will be more dangerous and fiercer upon her return.
In the interview, Schett further said,
She has won Grand Slam titles, and I think she's still young enough to have a second career. Also, her approach might be different now because she's had a baby.
The Austrian further said that after the break, Osaka will be more relaxed and that will bring the best performance out of her. With the 2024 season set to commence in a few days, all eyes would be upon her to see how the Japanese perform. Osaka has a very good record in the Australian Open, winning the title in 2019 and 2021.
