Natalie Portman finds solace at the French Open as husband Benjamin Millepeid’s affair wreaks havoc for her

Natalie Portman was in Paris this week to watch the quarterfinals of the 2023 French Open. The movie star witnessed Iga Swiatek’s win over American prodigy Coco Gauff at the Court Philippe Chartier. Portman attended the match just five days after French outlet Voici published a report about her husband’s affair.

She has not been spotted with her husband, French choreographer Benjamin Millepied, since the news of the infidelity broke. The Thor: Love and Thunder actor was, however, spotted with her wedding ring on in the stands. The couple was spotted together in Paris just days before the news broke but has not spoken about the speculation yet.

The movie star was also in attendance at the football match between Paris Saint-Germain and Clermont Foot 63 on Saturday. Portman seems to be seeking solace in sporting events in Paris recently. The high-profile match between Swiatek and Gauff certainly captured the attention. The Polish star won a close first set 6-4 as Gauff battled to stay in contention.

The second set was far less of a contest. Swiatek used her full range of tricks and dominated Gauff. She breezed past her American opponent to win the match. She has now won all seven of her games against Gauff without dropping a set. Portman, who is an admirer of tennis, would have certainly enjoyed it.

Portman has professed her love for tennis. She has also admitted that she is not great at playing the sport. Despite her taking tennis lessons. She revealed this information on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I’m so terrible,” Portman told DeGeneres. “I think it’s really important to do something that you love, even if you’re terrible at it, to enjoy something.” She joked, “I’m mainly getting balls into the court next to us. But also, the bushes are moving because there are men in there taking pictures.”

The actor was also spotted playing a game of tennis in Los Angeles in 2017. Her tennis links extend to Serena Williams. The legendary tennis player and Portman are co-founders of the National Women’s Soccer League’s team Angel City FC. They work closely to run what has been a very successful sports franchise.
